PHONE!\u201d I insisted, feeling a sense of impending doom if I didn\u2019t check it immediately.\n</p><p>She glanced at the cars whizzing by and sighed. \u201cOkay, but this is a terrible idea!\u201d\n</p><p>As I pulled over to the shoulder, I fumbled for my phone, ready to check my social media updates. But just then, a squirrel dashed across the road, causing a car to swerve wildly.\n</p><p>\u201cSee? This is exactly why we don\u2019t pull over on the freeway!\u201d my wife said, shaking her head.\n</p><p>I finally got my phone in hand and turned to her with a sheepish grin. \u201cYou know, I didn\u2019t even remember what I needed to check.
